I love to cook. Somewhat of a hobby chef, I have been formally trained in conventional cooking as well as vegan cooking. I cook just about everything we eat from scratch so I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I love to make fresh food beautiful, give it as gifts, and feed my friends, family, and even strangers. After all, we're not strangers once we've shared a meal together. I cook mostly vegan meals using fresh, whole ingredients and shop as locally as I can. I call myself a flexitarian because I cook mostly vegan but I do use farm fresh eggs and a dash of cheese on rare occasions. I am always on the lookout for a great dish that is beautiful, tasty, and healthy. I LOVE gardening and growing our own food.

Vegan, Gluten, and Oil Free Pumpkin Spice Cake

Posted on October 29, 2012 at 7:00pm 0 Comments

It's about time I catch up on my blogging.  I've been so busy the last couple months and there are a few dishes I've made that I would like to be able to look up again and make.  September and October are busy, stressful months at work.  I am sure if you checked out a blog from…

Almost Raw Vegan Peach Cheesecake

The weather is cooling and fall has crept in.  Usually it waits for Labor Day weekend. But not this year.  Even though it's sunny the mornings and evenings have been much cooler.  The peaches are done, I have the jars of sliced peaches, some dried and in the freezer, and then some just frozen and ready for smoothies or a quick cobbler in November. It was a tasty job. I've had peaches for dinner a couple nights this week. I'll be putting up tomatoes next, some this weekend and the rest next…

Cardamom Vanilla Bean Cake with Sumac Lemonade and Cashew Coconut Orange Glaze - Vegan & Gluten Free

I went to a fun wedding  this last Saturday.  My youngest son's best buddy got married.  We've known Ben since he was a little guy in second grade, so it was a family wedding for us. I felt like the honorary mother of the groom.  It was a lovely day for an outdoor wedding and the grounds…

Vegan Dessert Cookbook

Have you ever tried a “vegan” cupcake?

The truth is… most of them taste more like cardboard than cake.

But it shouldn’t be that way. Because, in my view, a vegan cupcake should taste like a regular cupcake.

So I decided to do something about it.

That’s why I spent the better part of an entire year taking dozens of classic and popular dessert recipes and “veganizing” them

About The Recipes

All the recipes in my new cookbook are:

  • 100% vegan.
  • Virtually identical vegan “clones” of popular “classic” desserts. (You’ll love them!)
  • Tested on non-vegans to ensure that they taste great — just like the original versions.
  • Beautifully photographed — there’s a full-color photo of EVERY recipe.

Take a look at the incredible recipes that are included..
