My lovely model friend @Marissa Bennett posed a great question to me this morning....What should we be eating to help with sun exposure and protection, from the inside out?? Well besides the obvious answer to drink lots of water and water-filled foods like watermelons, kiwi, grapes, apples, carrots, raw broccoli, etc. The bigger question is: Which foods actually have "sun benefits" ?? Well, here is an interesting article I found that supplies a few foods and their sun benefits.....

**Did you know dark berries rich in anthocyanin (the purple-like pigment) has been shown to contain natural SPF?? So eat up those strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and blue blueberries....and take a splash the pool!!! :-D !

**Additional tips on foods to consume in the sunshine: Consuming the "good" fat (like avocados); getting enough antioxidants (green tea & even dark chocolate), plus getting your optimal vitamin D intake (soy, tofu, oranges, mushrooms) also helps tremendously! Additional foods that have one or many of the necessary fats/vitamins/minerals/nutrients you can eat on your sunny day picnic, may include: leafy greens (spinach, kale), olive oil, tomatoes, lemon/limes, papaya, and bell peppers! ENJOY :-D !!

What are YOUR favorite foods for a sunny day??

Load up on that yogurt. Yogurt helps to remove / avoid tanning.
