Last night I started the bible study Exploring God’s Word, with my son and daughter.   We talked about the creation story and the events up to the fall of Adam.  I was ecstatic to see the word come to life in their eyes as we talked about the history of the bible, how it was written by men, but inspired by God. We also talked about the word will never disappear because of the preserving power of our Lord.

I have read the creation story so many times, but I have missed two little nugget until last night. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth, this happened before he created light.  The world was without form and void but it was there because the spirit of moved across the face of the waters.  Then on the first day, God created light and separated light from darkness.  If we look a little further, God did not create the sun, moon and stars until day four.  I am taking this to mean that on the first day of creation, God created Angels, which were light. After the battle in heaven, God separated light from darkness.

If that is a true interpretation of the scripture before he created Angels, he created the planets.  If that is true, he already had man in mind as a communion vessel. This is an exciting concept that God knew that he wanted to create us before the angels fell.  That before he created light and separated light from darkness he created the heavens and earth.  He created the earth for us to live on for a moment and the heavens for us to live in eternally.

In my search for holiness during this Daniel Fast, I have sacrificed but I do not know if I have really broken through, and really want to hit that moment of perception, that epiphany where it clicks.  Like in algebra when you struggle with a concept for days and then, the Parenthesis and brackets all make sense.  That moment where x + y = z.  I want to see that I the power of the Holy Ghost, where it all makes since.

This is my third day with only juice and water and I feel surprisingly alert this morning.  I had 7 hours of sleep, feel refreshed and I do not have a migraine.   My morning started with a pineapple, lemon, and pear smoothie and I am ready to tackle another hard day of work.  I know that something good is going to happen.   People say this all the time but the Devil must be fighting me because he knows that God is about to bless me.  Last night I wanted to eat a pulled pork sandwich so bad but I have made a promise and a decision and I am going to follow through with it.

I know that God is going to turn things around, my wife’s car conked out on her last night and had to go to the shop, she was diagnosed with a medical condition, and we were told that she would need surgery next week.  Because of sickness of the kids and issues with my wife’s medical condition, I am almost out of sick leave.  With the economy in the shape it is, my work has been 3 times as busy as it was this time last year and because of budget cuts in our office, we have half the staff.

I will look on the bright side and believe that God has a plan in all of it.  My wife was only less than a mile from our mechanic when the car conked out.  My God is the healer of diseases and he will do a miracle for my wife. After this week, our family will be healthy, by the power of Jesus.  I believe that although the economy may never fully recover, my God will keep me employed.

God provided for Daniel in the courts of King Nebuchadnezzar, God will provide for me.

Thank you so much for sharing. Our God is BIGGER than any problem we will face in this world. I pray that today as you open yourself to Gods LOVE in such a huge way that you will feel his presence that you are seeking. I pray for you and your family feel peace that transcends understanding, knowing to the core of your beings that there is NOTHING THAT CAN EVER SEPERATE US from His Love. No life, no death, no matter what we will be together with our King. Praying for your continued endurance on your fast, I just know you will have the breakthrough you seek.
