Creative writer, performing artist, and educator, currently teaching English literature, writing and drama at a high school in China. I've also worked with a grassroots organization in Nicaragua, and toured the Middle East with a theater/circus arts troupe. Overall social justice activist with broad-ranging interests ranging from animal rights and environmental justice to anti-war/anti-imperialism, Palestinian solidarity, immigrants' rights, racial and economic justice,anti-death penalty/unjust sentencing/police brutality, and homeless rights organizing, amongst others. My veganism is an integral part of my overall aim to live a life that is in harmony with my ethics as much as possible. Other interests include independent/arthouse filmmaking and cinema, literary fiction and poetry, underground music and visual art,sociology, anthropology, radical/liberation psychology, philosophy, off-the-grid living, dystopian fiction and utopian realities, and basically anything else that stimulates me mentally and creatively.
