Become a vegan

Started Sep 25, 2015 0 Replies

It all started a year ago, I was sitting in my living room listening to a friend talk about being a vegan. I thought to myself, “I could become a vegan if I didn’t love cheese so much”. I began…Continue

Are Hotdogs Better Than Tofu?

I find it rather amusing when I hear people talking about how disgustingly odd they find tofu. Normally these types of comments are made by non vegetarians who know very little about it. The other…Continue

How much tofu is too much tofu?

Started this discussion. Last reply by lucius fatcat May 9, 2015. 4 Replies

Hey I am Rachel and I'm twenty-three years old. I currently live in Minneapolis and work for a nonprofit where I teach technology and employment. I'm a vegetarian and would like to one day become a vegan but sadly my love for cheese is really strong. I've been living sober for the last year but enjoy going out and doing basically anything.

I for one often feel like the odd duck among my friends and family for being a vegetarian. The fact that I can live my life with out *bacon* is almost like a nuclear bomb going off in their heads. I think that this site is great for bringing our "weirdness" together but I…

I wish they were wrong about vegans..

Hey you,

I'm not sure if you're like me but when I first found Vegfriend I was really excited. Being a vegetarian in the mid-west is pretty uncommon, I'm almost always the odd one out. When I heard about this site I thought it would be awesome to finally to connect with people who also didn't eat meat, but also vegans because I'm pretty interested in the vegan lifestyle. I've always heard that vegans are stuck-up and very critical of those who don't choose to live a vegan lifestyle. I…
