I live in a small country called New Zealand. It's next to Australia and its an amazing beautiful green country. We are a laid back friendly lot with a very multi-cultural society.

We have zero factory farmed cows but we do have factory farmed pigs and chickens which a dedicated number of animal rights groups in NZ are trying hard to change. The organization I volunteer for is

I have an amazing beautiful little girl that starts school this year and an incredible supportive fiancé. They both light up my life immeasurably and I feel increasingly lucky to have them.

I still eat fish because I am dairy-free and eggs-free otherwise and believe fish is essential to good health, in moderate amounts, because of the oils and other nutritients. I am aware they still suffer so reduce my intake to once a week.

Does it disturb you?

I'm very underweight in spite of huge quantities of healthy and nutritious food I eat. I need to still incorporate as many foods as possible eventhough I refuse meat and dairy for animals-rights reasons and for health reasons, I also refuse to eat eggs unless I get them from people who rescue hens and keep them as loved pets.
fish is the last thing I cling onto because it is true I like eating it but also for health reasons: to not lose further weight which I do naturally by just stressing or not sleeping or with one cup of coffee.
Morally I would like to not eat fish, I could not catch one and used to release them out in the sea whern my brother fished some when I was a child. I agree they suffer. This is a dilemna for me. If I could be proven that I lose NOTHING health wise by cutting fish out (fish oils, phosphorous, proteins, etc) out then I'm going fish-free.
