This group is for the active, the athletic, and the meat-free! It is a common misconception that people who choose a cruelty-free diet cannot possibly get the required nutrition from eating "twigs and berries." However, Vegetarian and Vegan athletes often have a better, more balanced diet than our meat-eating counterparts.

Oh wow! This is awesome!!! I'm tripping out at these cool pictures!

When I was growing up I never considered myself to be athletic and I sucked at P.E. in school, stayed away from all sports teams. BUT now I'm crazy about fitness. I do yoga/pilates, latin ballroom (and other various dances), TRX, boxing (occasionally) and I love to run and hike.

I been a vegetarian my entire life and recently gone vegan. Just joined this online community today and love that there is a group of veggie athletes here setting great examples. Keep it up!!

Since being vegan 2 years ago athletic performance only improved! I was so amazed initially, especially recovery time decreased dramathically... now, after 2 years, I got used :)
