A simple truth

So today at work in a primary schooI, I was catching a wasp to release outside and I asked the children “Why am I catching this little one instead of just killing her?”
One boy said the golden words:
“because he wants to live”
I have not used that phrase in class and he is not from a vegan family, this was all his own thinking. This child has been diagnosed with behavioral problems and learning difficulties but I do not think this child has behavioral problems or learning difficulties, I think society has them. Anyway, I was so touched with his reply, I had to share it. Such a simple truth.
